Sample Letter to Request Governor Proclamation
Please note that this template can be modified to request proclamations from your mayor, city council, or other elected officials.
Dear Governor ________:
I am writing you on behalf of all pharmacy technicians in _____(state). Out of all of the pharmacy technicians in _____(state), _____(#) took it upon themselves to become nationally certified. I would like to see legislation introduced in the future making it mandatory that all pharmacy technicians be nationally certified.(if applicable)
Pharmacy technicians play a vital role in any pharmacy setting, be it community, hospital or mail order based. In the past 5 years alone, our profession has grown and shows no signs of slowing down.
This year during pharmacy month,
AAPT - the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians, NPTA - the National Pharmacy Technician Association and PTEC - the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council have endorsed the theme -
"Pharmacy Technicians: Helping Pharmacists Enhance Patient Care"
for the national day of recognition and celebration scheduled for October 25, 2005.
If you need anything further, please do not hesitate to contact me at the address given, or you can contact the National Pharmacy Technician Association at 888-247-8700.
Thank you for your time and help in recognizing pharmacy technicians and all that they do for our state.
Respectfully,
_______________(Name)
If you receive an Official Proclamation...make a photocopy and send it to:
