NPTA Establishes Helping Hands To Provide Relief to Rx Techs

More than 1 million Americans have been impacted by the devastation and destruction of Hurricane Katrina. In addition to the loss of an unknown number, many are without electricity...without shelter...without the basic essentials...and without a job.  The near future does not seem hopeful or promising, as it may be months, or longer, before they are able to get back on their feet.  They need our help, support and prayers.

In response to this event, we have established Helping Hands, an outreach of NPTA, to help pharmacy technicians and their families, specifically.  Currently, NPTA has more than 500 families that have been affected by this disaster and we believe that together we can help make a difference in their lives.

NPTA has committed to donate 100% of all continuing education proceeds, from both Today's Technician magazine and online sales, for the entire month of September, to the Helping Hands fund.
