I am thankful to have Maverick, my 4 year old great-nephew with me this Thanksgiving. Maverick has Celiac Disease so my mom made sure there was gluten free food available for him to feed himself. Mom passed away in June and now his 6 year old brother feeds him cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am so greatful to have him with me and know he is going to have plenty of 'his food' for him to eat. He has been here for a week and everyday he eats a little bit more than the day before.

I just arrived home from celebrating my father's 80th birthday. As I sat around the table (there were 3) and looked upon the 37 members of my family who made the trip, I thought back on how thankful I was that we were able to even be here. We all have had a health issue over the years including this year, be it a heart valve replacement to breast cancer. I am very thankful for being a CPhT, for the knowledge and strength I receive daily to do my job. Thank you NPTA for your support to improve

I am thankful for sufficient retirement income that enabled me to relinquish my position as a pharmacy tech so that a younger tech could keep working after a reduction in force because of budgetary cuts at our local hospital. While it was a sacrifice, this incident reminded me of the importance of sharing and caring for each other. We tend to emphasize the receiving part of Thanksgiving. It can also be a time of giving, which gives you a warm feeling of gratitude toward the Almighty.
